Event Description
It was reported that the patient was brought into the clinic due to complaints of shortness of breath.An interrogation noted that the right atrial (ra) lead and competitor left ventricular (lv) lead may have been transposed in the header of the device.A revision was performed that confirmed the leads were transposed.The ra lead and lv lead were disconnected and connected into the correct ports.Sensing, impedance, and threshold were tested and confirmed that the leads were pacing and sensing the correct portion of the heart.The ra lead remains in use.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
