Physician used venaseal occluding device during procedure to treat a segment in the great saphenous vein (gsv).The lumen was flushed prior to use.The ifu was followed.A guide wire was used for the insertion of the catheter.It was reported that patient had allergy associated symptoms in the treatment area and involving the abdomen and back with urticaria, redness and itching.Dermatology and allergist referrals resulted in positive skin patch test using venaseal adhesive which was supplied.Reaction persisted until the left gsv was explanted via endovenous saphenous harvest technique, approximately 9 months post procedure.Ten months post procedure, patient had follow-up appointment and all symptoms had resolved.There was no further patient injury reported.
