Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient receiving bupivacaine and morphine via an implanted pump. The patient was calling for physician listings because she was moving.During the call, she stated that she had a bad experience with the pump. She stated that her healthcare professional¿s office usually tracked the refill date, but there was a mix up, so they asked her what date her ptm (personal therapy manager) was showing. She provided the date at the time, and ended up running out of medication days earlier, and ended up in withdrawal last week. When asked, she declined to provide her hcp¿s name because she said it was her fault, and not the hcp¿s.
