Information was received from a healthcare provider and a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for gastric stimulation and gastrointestinal/pelvic floor.It was reported that the patient was having concerns with the gastric stimulator.They had symptoms return four days ago, and then last night started to experience discomfort at the ins site.The patient spoke with their managing physician yesterday and were told they could not assist because they were on the other side of the state and recommended they see if a manufacturer representative could assist.The following day, a healthcare provider reiterated they wanted to page a local representative to have the ins checked.The patient had abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.They had been given a laxative.
