Event Description
It was reported that shaft break occurred.A 20mm x 3.50mm promus elite drug-eluting stent was advanced for treatment.However, the shaft of the stent broke off and the stent was left inside the patient.It was then noted that the stent was afloat in the aorta.The patient required immediate coronary artery bypass graft surgery (cabg).No further complication was reported.
