Event Description
It was reported that the patient was going to have a prophylactic generator replacement with battery.It was indicated that during the battery replacement, the insulation came off from the connector pin.Clarification was provided that the lead body that was coiled behind the generator had scar tissue built up which was due to the body¿s natural response and when the surgeon went in to remove the generator that was being explanted, after pulling it the insulation around the connector pin exposing the wires.That is when the surgeon decided to proceed with a revision.The lead was received into product analysis.No additional relevant information has been received to date.
