A rattling noise inside the cardiohelp unit was reported.A getinge field service technician was sent for investigation on 2021-02-23, he could confirm that the cause for the rattling noise were loose screws.2 screws and their lock washers of the power supply were reattached.After repair all tests were passed successfully.Based on the results the reported failure "rattling noise" could be confirmed.In consultation with getinge r&d and technical services it was determined that the screws are not properly fixated and became looser over the long time of use (unit manufactured in 2013).For this issue the engineering change request ecr 21030104 was initiated on 2021-03-01 to prevent loosening of the screws by applying loctite.The occurrence rate was calculated for the reported failure and it was determined that this is not a systemic issue.Therefore, no remedial action is required the occurrence rate related to the reported issue is currently being monitored as part of maquet cardiopulmonary¿ s trending program and additional investigations or corrections will be implemented in case of adverse trending.
