Event Description
The customer called into technical support (ts) reporting that the device is displaying error code cbit temp, i error blower.The customer reported there was no patient involvement at the time the issue was discovered.

G4:22mar2021 b4:(b)(6) 2021 the customer reported that the device is displayed blower high temperature error.The manufacturer's field service engineer (fse) was dispatched to the site and confirmed the reported problem.The fse replaced the of motor controller board and blower to resolve reported problem.The device passed testing and is returned back to service.Submission of a report does not constitute an admission that medical personnel, user facility, importer, distributor, manufacturer, or product caused or contributed to the event.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The removed motor controller (mc) board and blower motor assembly were returned to the failure investigation lab (fi).A visual inspection of the mc board and blower motor assembly revealed no evidence of damage or contamination.The fi technician installed the mc board and blower motor assembly into a fi ventilator to duplicate the reported issue.The customer complaint was verified.The returned blower failed the temperature sensor test when used with the mc board.
