Submission of this report does not constitute an admission that the manufacturer's product caused or contributed to the event.A field service engineering (fse) was at the customer's site to address reported event.While troubleshooting, fse could not confirm or reproduce reported error.Fse performed barcode scan and all 10 barcodes were read, confirming the barcode reader was functioning as expected.The customer then reported data is not crossing over to the lis.Fse checked communication with lis and hyper terminal and got no data.Fse resolved the complaint by replacing the mb board.Fse then checked communication with hyper terminal and got data going to the hyper terminal from the analyzer.Fse successfully validated the analyzer by performing quality control run without errors and within acceptable range.No further action required by field service.The aia-900 analyzer is functioning as expected.A 13-month complaint history review and service history review through aware date of event for similar complaints was performed for serial number (b)(4).There were no similar complaints identified during the search period.The most probable cause of the reported event was due to failure of the mb board.
