Event Description
It was reported that during study of a post stent implant in the left a.Iliaca communis via ipsilateral approach, in-stent stenosis was allegedly diagnosed.It was further reported that patient had pain, cramps and slightly difficulty in walking.The current status of the patient is unknown.

H10: the catalog number identified in section d4 has not been cleared in the us but is similar to the covera plus vascular covered stent system products that are cleared in the us.The pro code and 510 k number for the covera plus vascular covered stent system products are identified in d2 and g4.H10: manufacturing review: the lot history records of this lot were reviewed with special attention to the manufacturing and inspection of this product and the product was found to have met the specification prior to shipment.Investigation summary: the sample was not returned to the manufacturer for evaluation and images were not provided for review.Based on the provided information, the investigation is inconclusive for reported issue.A definite root cause for the reported event could not be determined.Labeling review: in reviewing the relevant labeling for this product the potential issue was found addressed.Under potential complications and adverse events the instructions for use state: 'restenosis thrombus'.In regards to pta the instructions for use state: 'pre-dilate the stenosis with a pta balloon catheter of appropriate length and diameter for the lesion to be treated.' and 'post dilate the covered stent with an angioplasty balloon sized appropriately as to ensure complete wall apposition to the reference vessel.Avoid balloon dilation in the healthy, non-stenosed segment of the vessel'.Holding and handling of system was found described, in particular the instructions for use state: 'do not touch the distal catheter assembly (i.E.The dark brown catheter segment) during covered stent deployment since this may interfere with covered stent deployment and may lead to misplacement'.H10: d4 (expiry date: 08/2021).H11: h6 (method).H11: section a through f - the information provided by bd represents all of the known information at this time.Despite good faith efforts to obtain additional information, the complainant / reporter was unable or unwilling to provide any further patient, product, or procedural details to bd.H3 other text: device not returned.

Event Description
It was reported through the results of a clinical trial that two years and one month post stent placement in the left common iliac artery via an ipsilateral approach, the patient was diagnosed with in-stent restenosis.The study site found that the patient had mild symptoms, so no special treatment was arranged.It was further reported that three years and three days post covera stent placement, patient was diagnosed with high grade stenosis in the proximal part of the covera stent which required additional surgical intervention.Treatment was arranged.First, balloon angioplasty was done and then the procedure was completed using a bentley stent graft implanted successfully.The current status of the patient is unknown.
