Event Description
|
A customer reported lost power while doing a calibration on the aia-900 analyzer.The customer states the analyzer was running a calibration and just shut off and was unable to get the analyzer back up.A field service engineer (fse) was dispatched to address the reported event, which resulted in a delayed reporting of patient samples for estradiol (e2), follicle stimulating hormone (fsh), luteinizing hormone (lhii), prolactin (prl) and intact parathyroid hormone (ipth).There is no indication of any patient intervention or adverse health consequences due to the delay in reporting of patient results.

A field service engineering (fse) followed up with the customer over the phone to address reported event.Fse confirmed the complaint by reviewing the error logs and while troubleshooting with the customer, error was reproduced by attempting to turn on the analyzer and it didn't power up.Fse instructed the customer to plug the analyzer directly to the wall and the analyzer functioned as expected.Fse sent a new ups to the customer, customer confirmed the ups is functioning properly and analyzer is plugged back into the ups.No further action required by field service.The aia-900 analyzer is functioning as expected.A 13-month complaint history review and service history review through aware date of event for similar complaints was performed for serial number (b)(4).There were no other similar complaints found during the searched period.The most probable cause of the reported event is due to faulty ups.
