At this time product has not yet been returned.An extended investigation has been performed for the reported complaint and there was no indication that the product did not meet specification.Dhrs for the libre sensor and libre sensor kit were reviewed and the dhrs showed the libre sensor and sensor kit passed all tests prior to release.If the product is returned, a physical investigation will be performed and a follow-up report submitted.All pertinent information available to abbott diabetes care has been submitted.
 
Event Description
A high readings issue was reported with the adc device.A caregiver reported a sensor scan of 260 mg/dl was obtained and based on the result, the customer was treated with an unspecified dose of insulin.Subsequently, the customer became hypoglycemic and experienced a loss of consciousness which resulted in a fall that led to the customer hitting their head.The paramedic was called and upon arriving, a glucose result of 40 mg/dl was received on their device and the customer¿s mother administered glucagon as treatment.The customer was seen at the hospital and received painkillers for a headache sustained from hitting their head.No additional information was provided.There was no report of death or permanent injury associated with this event.
