It was reported during the operation with the g7 cup, insert b was stuck to the 46 cup already implanted, despite the internal cleaning of the cup, the blows generated by the beating caused the disassembly of the cup forcing the surgeon to implant a new cup of a larger size than the anatomy of the patient.No additional information.

This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information.Reported event was confirmed due to the review of photos.Visual examination of the provided pictures identified a scratch on the top lip of the liner.Device history record (dhr) was reviewed and no discrepancies were found.A definitive root cause cannot be determined.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
