It was reported that the patient, who is implanted with a primary cell deep brain stimulator implantable pulse generator, ipg, had to undergo two magnetic resonance imaging, mri, and scanning due to a non-device related health issue. The ipg was turned off prior to the mri and for two weeks afterwards.Following the mri, connection with the ipg could not be established, and it would not turn on.The patient is anticipated to undergo an ipg replacement procedure at a later date.Due to lack of resources to purchase a new ipg device, the procedure has not yet taken place.
