Event Description
It was reported that stent damage occurred.Vascular access was obtained via femoral artery.A 16 x 3.50 promus premier drug-eluting stent was selected for use.Upon opening the package, it was noticed that the stent struts were disrupted and device could not be mounted over the distal end of the wire.The procedure was completed with another promus premier which mounted on the wire easily.No patients complications were reported.The patient status was stable.
