It was reported that during an unspecified surgical procedure, it was observed that the impactor device femoral head tip was dropped on the floor and it shattered into two pieces.It was reported that no pieces were in the patient nor did it slow the surgery down.It was reported that it was an accident and the floor caused the femoral impactor tip cracked into two pieces.It was reported that there were no delays in the surgical procedure.There was patient involvement.There were no injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.All available information has been disclosed.If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch will be submitted accordingly.
