Event Description
|
It was reported that on (b)(6) 2022, during the procedure, the surgeon placed two catheters bilaterally using tunnelers; the surgeon experienced difficulty placing one side.The catheters were removed on (b)(6) 2022 and the catheter which had been difficult to place broke during removal; there was no reported injury.Additional information received on (b)(6) 2022, the doctor reported, the patient was currently under palliative care and there was no plan to remove the tip of the catheter.The doctor additionally reported that he examined the catheter himself and it appeared that less than 5 mm was still possibly left inside if any was still left inside.The patient was due to be seen in the clinic in a week.
