Event Description
Medtronic received information that on removal of the pacing wires 4 days post procedure, a portion of the wire broke off and remains in the patient.No additional patient adverse effects were reported.

Event Description
Medtronic received information that on removal of the pacing wires 4 days post procedure, a portion of the wire broke off and remains in the patient.It was stated that patient anatomy did not contribute to the pacing lead breakage.It was also stated that tension was not experienced during removal of the pacing wires.It was noted that staff were intensively trained in the use and removal of pacing wires.It was mentioned that no intervention is planned for retrieval of the fractured portion from the patient.No additional patient adverse effects were reported.
