|
Information was received from healthcare provider (hcp) via a manufacturer representative regarding a patient having oblique lumbar interbody fusion.It was reported that, anter-align inserter broke off in the trial while trialing.It was difficult to remove the trial as it was half in disc space. used new inserter to put smaller implant in and the threaded inserter portion broke off in implant during impaction.Tip of inserter was left in the implant, in the patient. there was a delay of 15-20 minutes occurred as result and no patient symptoms or complications reported.There was no revision surgery in plan to retrieve the broken fragment.There were no patient symptoms or complications reported.No additional treatment or surgery performed.
