|
Information was received from multiple sources (manufacturer representative, healthcare provider) regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for unknown indications for use.It was reported that patient had pain and was hospitalized overnight for observation.

Additional information was received from an hcp and rep.It was reported that hcp called rep and asked if rep was aware of a complication for the patient.Hcp was told through their partner that a lawsuit had been filed by the pt because they woke up paralyzed after the surgery.

Additional information was received from a manufacturer representative stating the case was aborted due to changes in neuromonitoring during the case.Therefore nothing ended up being implanted.Therefore patient was hospitalized for observation.

A manufacturer representative responded stating they have not received any further information in regards to this patient.Also, they add they do know that there were no device issue as nothing was implanted.
