Event Description
It was reported that on (b)(6) 2023, a 19mm regent aortic mhv,flex c uff, was implanted in a patient.On (b)(6) 2023, the patient ventilator parameters were gradually lowered and extubation was performed off-line.After extubation, the patient had slight shortness of breath, frequency was 24-30 breath /min, and an intermittent non-invasive ventilator assisted respiration was performed, but no significant improvement was found and the ability to cough and expectorate spontaneously was poor.To facilitate airway management, the patient had tracheotomy.After full sputum aspiration, the ventilator was connected to assist ventilation.The whole procedure was smooth and the patient's vital signs were stable.The device continue to work as intended.The patient is stable.

An event of respiratory insufficiency and dyspnea was reported.A returned device assessment could not be performed as the device remains implanted and was not returned for analysis.The device history record was reviewed to ensure that each manufacturing and inspection operation was performed and the product met all specifications.Information from the field indicated that the patient already had cardiac insufficiency before surgery.Based on the information received, the cause of the reported incident could not be conclusively determined.There is no indication of a product quality issue with respect to labeling design or manufacturing of the device.
