It was reported that during a cryo ablation procedure, the screen did not work as expected and when clicking the button, it did not respond properly. The plug was changed but then the temperature wasn't as expected and the temperature integrity test was not carried out.The balloon catheter was tested outside the body but the temperature never got hot when tested with hot water. The balloon catheter was replaced and the integrity test passed but the temperature with the new catheter was still not as expected making it impossible to inflate the system. The case was aborted while the patient was under general anesthesia. no patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
