Event Description
It was reported that the device had unstable speed.A rotapro console was selected for use.The speed was set at 160,000 rpm (revolutions per minute), however, during rotablation the rotational speed fluctuated from a speed of 80,000 rpm to 220,000 rpm.There was a significant sound change in the pitch of the turbine while the burr was in a healthy part of the vessel.The procedure was completed with this device.No patient complications were reported.
