Event Description
Patient stated on social media that the surgery related to the lap-band "almost killed me" and that it was removed in 2018 {exact date not provided, no implant date provided}.The patient stated on social media that he/she weighed about 190 pounds until he/she started having unspecified issues, and was put on new medication, and subsequently gained over 150 pounds in less than 9 months due to how the medication was absorbed and when it was administered.The patient stated that he/she had stitches in the esophagus, erosion and scarring inside the stomach, and was vomiting solid foods.The patient stated the band was "almost fully restricted" and may be the cause of the vomiting.No other relevant information provided.
