It was reported that while reaming for the mini baseplate, the surgeon mentioned that the reamer was extremely blunt.No adverse event has been reported as a result of the malfunction.No further information is available.

(b)(4).Proposed component code: mechanical (g04) - drill.Reported event was unable to be confirmed due to limited information received from the customer.Device history record (dhr) review was unable to be performed as the lot number of the device involved in the event is unknown.Root cause was unable to be determined as the necessary information to adequately investigate the reported event was not provided.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.

This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information.Proposed component code: mechanical (g04) - drill.Complaint sample was evaluated and the reported event was confirmed.Visual examination of the returned product identified wear on the ao connect end.The reamers cutting edges are not sharp and have damage to every cutting edge.Device history record (dhr) was reviewed and no discrepancies were found.The reported event is confirmed as the product was returned.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
