Other text: h3.Device evaluated by manufacturer and h6.Evaluation codes: updated.Device evaluation: one device was received for investigation.During the visual inspection, the air detector sensor is loose, and can be wiggled back and forth. This can possibly cause it to be more sensitive and alarm more often. The device has an old design clear float switch which is known to crack/leak.The membrane switch is damaged (has some burn marks) but was still operational.During the functional test, it was found that the sensor works as intended but it was loose. The root cause was found to be that the screws securing sensor to front cover of air detector were not properly secured. The sensor screws were tightened.A manufacturing dhr review was not performed because the device is beyond a year from its manufacture date of 2012-06-14 and there was no indication of a manufacturing defect during the investigation.Service history review identified this device has not been in for service previously.
