|
It was reported that the fluid warmer had a bad power switch.Patient involvement unknown.

|
Device evaluation: one device was received.The visual inspection showed a cracked tank cover and broken power switch.Functional testing was completed and it was confirmed that the device would not power on.The root cause was found to be that the connection between the power switch and pcb is damaged.No action taken due to the condition of the device.It is deemed beyond economical repair and will be scrapped.A manufacturing dhr review was not performed because the device is beyond a year from its manufacture date of 2004 and there was no indication of a manufacturing defect during the investigation.Service history review identified this device has not been in for service previously.
