It was reported the bed had a cpr head drive error. The versacare® bed system (k model and newer) is intended to provide a patient support suited to be used in healthcare environments. The versacare® bed may be used in such settings as acute care, step down/progressive care, medical/surgical, high acuity sub-acute care, post anesthesia care unit (pacu), and sections of the emergency department (ed). The intended user of this product are healthcare employees who have been trained to use the product, and who have the physical strength and cognitive skills to operate and control the product.A report of cpr switch error code, cpr handle physical damage or cpr gas spring not holding with no loss of function of the cpr feature is unlikely to cause or contribute to death or serious injury. The end user is still able to access the cpr feature. The account should contact their facility-authorized maintenance person to send the bed for service/repair.After consideration for potential harms and worst-case scenarios, no serious adverse health consequence would occur from this issue.
