Event Description
Medtronic received information that prior to the attempted implant of this transcatheter bioprosthetic valve, inside a previously implanted surgical valve and non-medtronic transcatheter valve, a pre-implant balloon aortic valvuloplasty (bav) was performed using a 20 millimeter (mm) non-medtronic balloon.Subsequently, the physician was unable to advance the delivery catheter system (dcs) across the aortic valve. The procedure was aborted. The patient remained stable, and the mean gradient was reduced from 49 millimeters of mercury (mmhg) to 7 mmhg.No adverse patient effects were reported.
