Event Description
It was reported that removal difficulties were encountered.The 50% stenosed target lesion was located in internal carotid artery to common carotid artery.After the filter-wire ez (fwez) embolic protection device was induced, a 10.0-31 carotid wallstent (cws) was advanced for treatment.However, a severe resistance was felt.The fwez was stuck inside the catheter and could not be taken out of the monorail lumen of the cws device.The procedure was completed with another cws.There were no patient complications nor injuries reported.
