Event Description
|
It was reported that the fluid warmer kept "popping" circuit breakers.Discovered during preventative maintenance.No patient involvement was reported.

Device evaluated by manufacturer and h6.Evaluation codes: updated.One device was received.Per visual inspection cracked enclosure, corroded drain fitting, and worn line cord.Outdated printed circuit board (pcb) and power switch.Per functional testing the device failed the electrical test because the voltage put out from the device was too high confirming the complaint.The root cause was a faulty pcb.It was unknown what caused it to become faulty.The product's history records were reviewed and there were no non-conformance's nor service-related issues that would have resulted in the reported complaint.No action taken due to the condition of the device.It was deemed beyond economical repair and was scrapped.
