The inform ii meter serial number was (b)(6).The test strips were requested for investigation.
 
Event Description
The initial reporter complained of discrepant glucose results for 1 patient tested on an accu-chek inform ii meter compared to the laboratory.The meter result was 177 mg/dl.The laboratory result was 301 mg/dl.The results were obtained from the same sample drawn for the laboratory.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The test strips were not received for investigation.The patient has high triglycerides.Product labeling states "limitations - ¿ lipemic samples (triglycerides) in excess of 1800 mg/dl may produce elevated results." on a regular basis, accu-chek inform ii strips of lots currently valid in the market are tested as part of routine retention testing and results have passed the internal inspection.
