Event Description
|
Patient had a venaseal procedure in their right saphenous vein ((b)(6) 2023).Within "a day or 2", patient developed hives and required prescription prednisone and solumedtrol.Patient has a known allergy to adhesives and was pretreated with benadryl for that because of a reaction they have had with skin glue and the draping material used in previous procedures.Patient stated that they have since developed systemic hives and welts on their chest, back, and abdomen.Patient is following up consistently with their physician as well as going to see an allergist in the near future.Patient also stated the procedure "was a success" in regard to the purpose.
