It was reported that the patient experienced a lamina break during a superion indirect decompression (id) spacer procedure. The physicians assessment was that while setting the id spacer to base of the spinous process, the patients lamina broke and fell through the spacer and resting on the epidural space causing a cerebrospinal fluid leak (csf), cancelling the procedure. The physician safely removed the id spacer, was woken up and checked for neurological functions where he was able to move lower limbs. The patient did not require medical or surgical intervention and did well post-operatively.
