Event Description
|
A venaseal closure system was used for treatment of the great saphenous vein (gsv).Local anaesthesia was used and transducer compression.The ifu was followed during preparation, procedure and post-procedure.The procedure was completed as per ifu however the tip of the venaseal catheter was not followed by ultrasound down the leg.The vein closed.It was reported the patient had itchiness on the left leg all the way up to his head.No rash, no redness, no lesions.Pt had venaseal done in july on left leg.The patient was prescribed zantac and claritin for one day then itchiness was gone.Right leg was treated on with venaseal post approximately 2 months post right leg treatment.
