It was reported that an articular surface would not mate with the tibial plate.The surgeon confirmed that there was no foreign substance interference between the mating area.As a result, the operation was completed with another articular surface.Attempts to obtain additional information have been made; however, no more information is available.

This follow-up is being submitted to relay additional information.Visual examination of the returned product found the dovetail feature to exhibit damage (flared out) on both sides and the tab also.Medical records were not provided.Device history record (dhr) was reviewed for deviations and/ or anomalies with no deviations / anomalies identified.A definitive root cause cannot be determined.This complaint has been confirmed by the returned device having flared dovetail features.If any further information is received which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
