Event Description
It was reported that the patient presented to the emergency department due to chest pain and previous episodes of dizziness.It was noted that the cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) exhibited occasional heart rate drops that were below the lower programmed rate.Nine days later the patient presented to the emergency department again for chest paint.It was noted that there were significant pauses every fifteen minutes.The crt-d remains in use. no further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
