Event Description
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system being used during a sacroiliac and thoracolumbar procedure.It was reported that during a case the user hammered in a 100mm perc pin and when they went to remove the tap cap, it would not come off of the pin.They had to use a new perc pin and tap cap to continue with the surgery.The event caused a surgical delay of 2 minutes.There was no impact on patient outcome.
