Event Description
It was reported through the stryker facebook page, "i'd like to know why also.I had replacement about 16 months ago and the doc used mako.I had to have a total reconstruction.".

Reported event: an event regarding loosening and incorrect selection involving an unknown knee implant was reported.The event was not confirmed.Method & results: device evaluation and results: not performed as product was not returned.Clinician review: no medical records were received for review with a clinical consultant.Device history review: could not be performed as lot code information was not provided.Complaint history review: could not be performed as lot code information was not provided.Conclusion: the exact cause of the event could not be determined because insufficient information was provided.Additional information including operative reports, progress notes, x-rays and return of the device are needed to fully investigate the event.If further information becomes available or the product is returned, this investigation will be re-opened.

It was reported through the stryker facebook page, "i'd like to know why also.I had replacement about 16 months ago and the doctor used mako.I had to have a total reconstruction." additional fb comment received, "lot's of "looseness" in the joint, a lot of "clunking" when walking.And the doc who did the revision said the piece behind the knee cap was wrong size" additional fb comment received, "well, here is one dissatisfied customer !! my doc used stryker implant and the mako system.I had to have total reconstruction a year later.Be careful" additional fb comment received, "didn't work for me.Perhaps it was the doc and not the implant itself.Another doc said the patellar portion of the implant was too large.".
