Event Description
|
It was reported that patient underwent a knee procedure.During the procedure, the tibial insert did not seat on the tibial tray.A second tibial insert also did not seem to seat completely, but was used to complete the procedure.No adverse events have been reported as a result of the malfunction.

This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information.Reported event was unable to be confirmed due to limited information received from the customer.Device history record was reviewed and no discrepancies relevant to the reported event were found.A definitive root cause for the articular surface not seating cannot be determined.However, the bearing should be fully seated and leaving it sitting high is against instructions.A summary of the investigation was sent to the complainant conveying proper surgical technique and use of the device.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
