|
Information was received from a patient via a manufacturer representative (rep), who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins).It was reported that in late september the patient was in a motor vehicle accident (mva) and since then they felt "something was off and not right".The patient had a return of pain. impedances were measured and electrodes 8-15 were found to be greater than 40,000 ohms.X-rays were taken and lead migration/dislodgement was found.The issue was ongoing and had not been resolved at this time.The manufacturer representative indicated they would send any further information as they become aware.

Rep reported that at this point no known issue with ins.This is an elective request by the patient because of the age of the device and not wanting another surgery sooner.Device remains in patient.Procedure is scheduled on (b)(6) 2024.

Patient reported increased pain.Every 3-4 months she feels like she needs to adjust scs settings.Pain has not reduce despite scs a djustment.(b)(6) 2023 visit: manufacturers rep noted impedance issue with one lead.Both leads migrated "down a level" according to imaging.Planned 2x lead revision and battery replacement.

Additional information received reported that the system was explanted.It was noted that one lead was unusable because it had lost connection to the battery.The issue was resolved without sequelae.
