Event Description
During a clinical trial sponsored by bwi, it was reported that a patient underwent a cardiac ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation (afib) with a thermocool® smart touch® sf bi-directional navigation catheter.The patient experienced cardiogenic shock (ae1) categorized as moderate and serious.Relationship to study device is not related to study devices and relationship to primary study procedure is possible to the index procedure.The serious event is categorized as unexpected/unanticipated.The outcome is recovered/resolved.No interventions were required but a transthoracic echocardiogram (tte) one week after ablation was performed.

On 09-jan-2024, it was noted that medical intervention included medication.If additional information is received regarding this event, a supplemental 3500a report will be submitted to the fda.Manufacturer's reference number: (b)(4).
