Event Description
It was reported that prior to an ablation, the patient had atrial flutter and variable atrioventricular (av) block with a slow ventricular rate.Due to the atrioventricular (av) block a pacemaker was implanted post ablation.The procedure was prolonged and it was noted 'fluid was on board.' an electrocardiogram (ecg) was performed, a diuretic medication and vasodilator medication were administered intravenously.High flow positive pressure oxygen was also administered.The patient is part of a clinical study.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
 
Event Description
It was later reported that the patient was subjected to a prolonged hospitalization and that the "high flow positive pressure oxygen" method of treatment was bilevel positive airway pressure (bipap).
