Event Description

It was reported that manufacturer representative (rep) called to report patient (pt) had a cardioversion today.Rep said they just turned the implantable neurostimulator (ins) off.The rep reports the left chest ins works fine, but they cannot turn the right chest ins on.They keep getting no device found.Technical services (ts) transferred caller to nas to page dbs rep.Pt reports he is having tremors on his left side.Another rep called and confirmed the information presented in this record. The rep noted that to her understanding, mdt was not notified of cardioversion prior to it being done and so the inss were just turned off.The left ins is responding but the right ins is not.The rep facetimed with the healthcare provider (hcp) prior to calling pats and the rep confirmed the situation, attempted to remove the links on the handset but the right side is not being 'picked up'.The caller brought on another rep who was bedside with the pt.Rep attempted to connect using tablet but right side would not allow connection, he is only pic king up left side.Rep attempted 'resetting stimulators' and that did not appear to resolve the issue either.Rep will attempt to connect to pt's ins using pt's handset to ensure the settings were retained and that at least the left side ins is turned on.Agent advised this scenario would be escalated and that an mdt field engineer will likely need to be engage.
