This report is based on information provided by philips service representative and has been investigated by the philips complaint handling team.Philips received a complaint on the heartstart xl indicating that the device cannot discharge in synchronous mode.The customer worked with the service representative.It was conveyed that the customer connects the lead wire when using synchronous mode, and r-wave can be detected before discharge.Based on the information available and the cause of the reported problem was user error.The reported problem was not confirmed.Serviceable ¿ product back in service ¿ no further action required: the device was operational after setup information was conveyed to the user.The investigation concludes that no further action is required at this time.If additional information is received the complaint file will be reopened.
