Event Description
Medtronic received information that during the attempted implant of this transcatheter bioprosthetic valve, when the valve ¿mounted on the delivery advances,¿ the right femoral artery ruptured.Surgical repair was performed using bypass technique.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.

Event Description
Additional information was received that during the valve implant, the delivery catheter system (dcs) could not advance and the system was removed from the patient.An arterial dilation was performed and the ruptured occurred during the dilation.Right femoral artery access site was used with a minimum access vessel diameter of 5.6 millimeter (mm).Per the physician, severe calcification did not allow for the peripheral angioplasty and the delivery catheter system (dcs) did not contribute to the rupture.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
