Event Description

It was reported that an attempt was made to use a in.Pact admiral to treat a plaque lesion in the proximal superficial femoral artery. degree of tortuosity was little. degree of calcification was moderate.Lesion stenosis was 70%.Embolic protection was not used.A pressure pump was used for inflation.Device was prepped per ifu.The device did not pass through a previously-deployed stent.Resistance was encountered when advancing the device.Excessive force was not used. balloon deflation difficulties occurred. device was slow to deflate at the lesion site.Procedure was completed with a replacement model of the same lot.No patient injury reported.
