It was reported that stent dislodgment occurred. The 90% stenosed target lesion was located in the severely tortuous and moderately calcified left anterior descending artery.Following pre-dilatation of a 2.5 x 12 semi compliant balloon catheter, a 32 x 3.00 promus elite drug-eluting stent was advanced for treatment.Due to a very tortuous anatomy of the vessel, the stent failed to track the lesion even after trying multiple times. However, when the physician tried removing the stent, the stent came off of the balloon intact near the hub of a non-boston scientific (bsc) guide catheter.A non-bsc stent was used, and the procedure was complete successfully. No patient complications were reported.
