Event Description
It was reported that during a cryo ablation procedure, while approaching the left superior pulmonary vein (lspv), it was discovered via imaging that air was mixed in the area near the balloon catheter when the balloon was inflated.The case was aborted.The patient under general anesthesia.A computerized tomography (ct) scan was performed and the patient was transferred to intensive care unit (icu).It was found that the air was in the right cardiac system. cerebral infarction and other embolisms were not found in the ct scan, the patient was noted to be awake and have no particular problem with their condition.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
