Philips received a complaint on the display 24 inch elo lcd touch indicating that on january 24, 2024, a patient threw an object at the screen, causing the screen to shatter, injuring the nurse near the screen. The nurse was treated for their injuries in the emergency department and possibly admitted.A good faith effort (gfe) was performed to clarify details regarding the injury, but the customer did not respond to additional requests for information.Based on the information available, the screen injured the nurse, but the actual cause of the reported problem was due to the patient's actions.A remote service engineer (rse) ordered and shipped a replacement display to the customer site.
